Polypropylene (PP) – This variety of plastic is the second most produced type of synthetic plastic after the polyethylene. It is a can hold up to the high temperatures. It is used to make living hinges of bottles due to its high resistance. This is used to make plastic containers or bottles to store laboratory chemicals. The containers made of Polypropylene do not melt in the dishwasher. These are also commonly used as vitamins and other medicinal bottles. It has a recycling symbol with grade 5 that means it is very difficult to recycle.

Polycarbonate aka polylactide (Other) – The plastic with the label of other comes with a recycling symbol of 7 making it too difficult to be recycled. These are not common in household products. They are mostly used in making industrial liquid bottles and medical storage containers.
